About Jay
Hello! My name is Jiwhan, and I’m a native Korean speaker, a U.S.–South Korean dual citizen, and a practicing physician (M.D.) in the United States.
Having lived in both Korea and the U.S., I understand the challenges of learning a new language from both perspectives. My fluent English allows me to explain Korean grammar, pronunciation, and cultural nuances in a clear and easy-to-understand way.
I’m patient, approachable, and committed to creating a comfortable learning environment where students feel confident asking questions and making mistakes. Whether you’re learning Korean for travel, work, K-dramas, K-pop, TOPIK, or simply personal interest, I’ll tailor each lesson to your goals and learning style.
