Hello! My name is Satbyul.
I am a friendly, patient, and highly organised native Korean tutor currently living in the UK.

As a mother of two young children, I have naturally developed deep patience and a love for nurturing growth. I know exactly how to encourage learners, break down complex ideas into simple steps, and create a warm, supportive atmosphere where you can build your confidence without any pressure.

Living in the UK also means I understand firsthand what it feels like to adapt to a new culture and learn a different language. I know the common hurdles English speakers face when approaching Korean, and I am here to bridge that gap for you.

Are you fascinated by Korean culture, K-pops, or K-dramas? Or are you planning to travel to Korea or preparing for an exam? Whatever your goal is, I am here to help you master Korean in the most fun, efficient, and encouraging way!
As a native Korean speaker living in the UK, I understand the challenges of learning a completely new language. That is why my lessons are 100% tailored to your unique pace, level, and interests.

Here is what you can expect from my lessons:
For Absolute Beginners: We will start from scratch! You will learn how to read and write the Korean alphabet (Hangeul) in just a few sessions. No overwhelming grammar—just simple, practical words to get you started.
For K-Culture Lovers: We will use real materials like your favourite K-drama lines, K-pop lyrics, or variety shows to learn real-life, trendy Korean expressions.
For Practical Conversation: We will focus on speaking and listening from Day 1. You will practise real-world scenarios like ordering food, asking for directions, or chatting with friends.
Structured & Fun: I use a variety of well-known resources (such as Talk To Me In Korean and Ewha Korean materials) alongside my own custom-made prints and visual aids to make sure the lessons are engaging.
My Teaching Philosophy:
Learning a language should never be stressful. My classroom is a safe, friendly, and comfortable space where making mistakes is completely welcomed—that’s how we learn!
