I’m a college student, born and raised in Korea, with a deep understanding of the language and culture. Having grown up in Korea and experienced life in an international environment, I know the challenges of learning a new language, especially when you want to sound natural and confident. My experience in tutoring and teaching others has honed my ability to communicate complex ideas simply and make learning enjoyable. I’m patient, encouraging, and passionate about helping my students reach their language goals.

About the lesson

Teaching Method and Techniques
I focus on teaching Korean through real-life conversations and practical scenarios. My lessons are casual and tailored to your goals, helping you sound natural and comfortable in everyday Korean. I incorporate common phrases, slang, and cultural nuances, so you’re not just learning from a textbook but getting a feel for how Koreans actually speak in day-to-day life. We’ll have discussions, role-play different situations, and use multimedia resources (like videos and songs) to make the learning experience engaging and relevant.

A Typical Lesson Plan
I will first ask you which category of Korean you would like to first learn about. We'll dive into the part that you want to know about first and keep moving on and on. If you don't have any preference, we will dive right into conversation practice, focusing on topics like ordering food, meeting friends, or traveling in Korea. Each lesson is interactive, with opportunities for you to practice speaking and asking questions. We will also use k-drama scripts to practice our Korean as well!
