About Cathy

I am currently a university student majoring in Japanese and minoring in linguistics. I really enjoy teaching foreign languages and studying how to teach them. Growing up in a high-pressure Asian family environment, I absolutely hated learning foreign languages as a child. However, when I started self-studying Japanese, I discovered that learning a foreign language can actually be quite enjoyable. In fact, I am planning to continue study Japanese even after graduating from university. Since then, I’ve come to believe that any subject that people dislike is a result of poor teaching methods. Now, I hope to help you feel happy and comfortable while learning a foreign language, and to show you that, hey, Chinese can actually be quite interesting.

About the lesson

HSK, business Mandarin, daily dialogue, words to use in online games, school homework,or just for fun? No problem! Bring your textbooks, or tell me about your goals, and that we make a plan together. When solving problems, I would like to derive answers by encouraging students to think independently. When we are having a fun talk, I encourage students to express their opinions freely in Mandarin, creating a low-pressure environment. And please don’t be sorry when asking the same questions, because I will be answering it every time, no matter how many times.
