About Aileen
I am a native Mandarin speaker originally from China and now living in Canada. Mandarin is my first language, and I also speak English, so I understand what it feels like to learn and use another language in real life.
I believe the best way to become comfortable speaking a language is to actually use it. My goal is to provide a relaxed and friendly environment where you can speak Mandarin without worrying about making mistakes.
I enjoy conversations about everyday life, travel, food, work, culture, and life in both China and Canada. During our conversations, I can help you sound more natural and explain expressions or cultural context when needed.
I am not offering a traditional classroom-style Chinese course. I focus on genuine Mandarin conversation for learners who already have some speaking ability and simply need more opportunities to use it.

Mandarin
Do you already know some Mandarin but don't have enough opportunities to actually speak it? My sessions are designed for learners who can already hold a basic conversation and want to become more comfortable, natural, and confident speaking Mandarin.
We can talk about everyday life, travel, work, food, culture, current topics, or anything that interests you. I will let the conversation flow naturally and help you with pronunciation, word choice, and more natural ways to express yourself when needed.
There are no textbooks or formal lessons. The focus is simple: more real conversation, more speaking, and more confidence.
Sessions are available online or in person in Markham/Richmond Hill at a public location such as a café or library.
This is a paid Mandarin conversation practice service, not a language exchange.
