About Ivy

Hello! I had my bachelor's degree in French literature in 2019, and I was an exchange student in cinema at the University of Montreal.

I can teach in French and English. I am Taiwanese, so I can also teach traditional Chinese characters if you are interested.

I have experience in teaching adolescents and kids for a few months. I'm patient, and I like to use real-world materials to make learning language more exciting.

About the lesson

【The immersion method: learn language and culture through real-life conversations】
First, you will learn useful vocabulary and culture through daily life conversations. On top of that, after the first three lessons, you’re going to learn with YouTube videos and songs. In this way, not only can you learn the most authentic Mandarin, you can actually retain the words more easily.

After lessons you will be able to:
- Pronounce Mandarin correctly
- Read and write Chinese characters
- Have basic conversations
- Learn topics and culture that interest you in Mandarin
