About Alena
I’m a native Russian speaker with fluent English and a genuine love for language, communication, and all the strange little things that get lost in translation.
I’m especially interested in how people actually use language — tone, humor, subtext, slang, internet culture, and the difference between something being technically correct and something a native speaker would naturally say.
I’m patient, curious, easy to talk to, and very happy to answer the questions that might feel too random, specific, or weird for a traditional lesson. My goal is simple: help Russian feel like a living language rather than something you only encounter in a textbook.
