When it comes to verbs, I use a method commonly taught by many teachers and we call them "tablas de verbos" this helps with past, present, and future tenses when speaking, and writing. It is tought as a review no matter what grade. Typical lesson plans for beginning Spanish speakers will be simple words phrases and sentences. Intermediate Spanish speakers will be learning "sayings" otherwise known as dichos, you will also be learning a lot of vocabulary words in order to help form sentences and even paragraphs. Native Spanish speakers will be working on citing texts and articles. Also annotating videos, and learning about Latin culture and our history.
