About Izana

Hello! I'm a friendly, enthusiastic and approachable teacher who genuinely enjoys helping others learn. I love working with people of all ages and believe that the best learning happens when students feel comfortable, supported and confident enough to make mistakes. After all, making mistakes is an essential part of learning a new language!

I'm passionate about languages and enjoy both teaching and learning them. I always aim to make my lessons enjoyable, interactive and adapted to each student's personality and goals. Whether you're studying for exams, learning for work or preparing for a trip abroad, I'll help you progress at a pace that suits you.

Outside of teaching, I'm a very active person and enjoy playing sports, keeping fit and spending time outdoors. I believe that bringing positive energy and enthusiasm into my lessons helps create a relaxed environment where students can enjoy learning and build confidence in their Spanish.

About the lesson

I am a native Spanish speaker and a qualified secondary Spanish and French teacher, having recently completed my PGCE. I offer engaging, personalised lessons tailored to each student's goals, whether they are preparing for KS3, GCSE or A Level exams, improving their conversational Spanish, or learning from scratch.

My lessons are typically 60 minutes long and are carefully planned to suit each learner's level, pace and interests. I use a communicative approach, combining speaking, listening, reading and writing activities with authentic materials to build confidence and fluency. I also provide structured grammar explanations, vocabulary practice and exam-focused support where needed.

As a fluent English speaker, I can clearly explain language concepts to beginners while gradually encouraging students to use more Spanish as their confidence grows. My aim is to create a supportive, motivating environment where every student feels comfortable asking questions and making progress.
