About Sivakshan
I’m an aspiring AI and robotics researcher with a solid background in software development and programming. Over the past few years I’ve worked extensively with modern technologies and tools, which helps me explain technical concepts in a practical and accessible way. I take professionalism seriously: I am punctual, well-prepared, and always aim to create a respectful, focused learning environment.
I also have 2 years of experience teaching children basic programming skills and Tamil, which has trained me to be patient, clear, and supportive with learners of different ages and levels. I’m used to breaking down complex ideas into simple steps, using examples and practice exercises so that students can build confidence as they progress. My goal is to help each student feel comfortable asking questions, understand the “why” behind what they’re learning, and see real improvement over time.

My teaching approach is structured, patient, and personalised. I first understand the student’s current level and goals, then design lessons step-by-step to build strong foundations.
For Tamil, I focus on pronunciation, conversational practice, reading, and writing with simple exercises and real-life examples.
For programming, I teach core concepts clearly (logic, structure, problem-solving) before moving to practical HTML, CSS, and JavaScript tasks.
Lessons are typically 60 minutes. Each session includes explanation, guided practice, and short exercises to reinforce learning.
I am a native Tamil speaker from Sri Lanka and an MSc graduate in Robotics and Artificial Intelligence from the University of Aberdeen.
My lessons are suitable for children, heritage learners, complete beginners, and adults starting from zero.
