About Ngan

Having experience in intercultural communication and working with international students across ASEAN, I understand what challenges non-native speakers face. I've taught English to diverse learners for over 2 years, and about a year teaching my Malaysian partner Vietnamese. I'm excited to help foreigners discover the beauty of Vietnamese language and culture.

About the lesson

TEACHING APPROACH: I teach Vietnamese the way it's actually spoken in daily life. As a native speaker from Can Tho in the Mekong Delta, I specialize in the Southern dialect and bring authentic cultural insights to every lesson. My immersion-style approach combines real-life scenarios with cultural context that helps you truly understand Vietnam, not just the language.
My lessons are for teens and adults (complete beginners to intermediate levels) including expats living in Vietnam and people with Vietnamese partners or family who want to connect more deeply. Standard lessons are 60 minutes of engaging, practical conversation practice.
WHAT YOU WILL GAIN: The confidence to communicate in daily situations, the ability to connect meaningfully with Vietnamese family and community, deep understanding of Southern Vietnamese culture and customs, and the skills to navigate life in Vietnam with ease.
