About Roli
Hi! My background is in neuroscience, and I did A level chemistry, biology and psychology, and PE AS level. I have a first class degree and I am very comfortable teaching Biological psychology, as well as anything anatomy based, but I am confident with plant biology too! I love to read, run, speak Spanish and I write short stories outside of working in medical publishing

Our first session will be a discovery lesson. We will identify exactly where you are struggling, set clear objectives, and determine the specific units where you want to see the most improvement. From there, I structure my lessons to be fluid and dynamic. I don’t believe in a "one-size-fits-all" approach, instead, I adapt my communication style to match yours. Whether we are tackling complex processes like cell respiration, understanding genetic inheritance, or navigating the intricacies of ecology, I break down technical scientific language into manageable, logical steps to ensure you feel confident rather than overwhelmed. My experience in medical publishing ensures that I am precise, well-organised, and attentive to the finer details of the curriculum.
Learning Dynamics
When I was in school and university, I found that I learnt best by engaging actively with the material. I often turned study sessions into games and utilised the kinaesthetic benefit of drawing out biological pathways by hand. In our sessions, we can implement these techniques together. I am happy to help you build a personalised study toolkit, including creating custom flashcards, whether you prefer digital apps for on-the-go review or traditional physical cards, I loved using both!
