I'm sure everyone can remember one or two teachers throughout their tenure as learners who made learning an amazing experience. Ian was that for me. He was my Japanese teacher throughout my years in high school, but has also taught Maths among other subjects through the years.

Not only is he a firm, yet friendly personality; his preparedness, knowledge of the content / curriculum he needs to teach, and willingness to go above and beyond to help his students were key factors which helped me see success - not just in Japanese, but as a learner in general.
