JavaScript is a programming language that enables interactive web pages. It allows developers to add dynamic behavior to their websites, such as responding to user actions, manipulating the DOM (Document Object Model), and making asynchronous requests to servers.
Java, on the other hand, is a general-purpose programming language that is widely used for developing desktop, web, and mobile applications. It's known for its "write once, run anywhere" capability, meaning that Java code can be run on any platform that has a Java Virtual Machine (JVM). It's often used for backend development in web applications, as well as for Android app development.
