About Eric
Hey!
My name is Eric Scott Golovan and I am a New York City-based Actor, Director, and Theatre Educator. I am originally from Cleveland, Ohio where I taught theatre alongside my training for 6 years. I have a BFA in Acting and minor in Education (with focus on Theatre Education) from Baldwin Wallace University's Conservatory of Music, Theatre, and Dance.
Currently, I live in NYC where I work in both theatre and film as an actor, director, and musician. In tutoring and coaching, I primarily work with late elementary, middle, and high school students looking to strengthen acting and singing technique, prepare for auditions, and discover new material.
As a performer, I recently performed at the Laurie Beechman Theatre in "From This Day On" as well as on various short film sets and regional theatres. As a director, I most recently worked on two world premier plays: "Anemone" at the Bank Street Theatre, and "A Crack In Everything" at the Santa Monica Playhouse.

All lessons are catered towards the needs of each individual student! Looking to strengthen acting skills or singing? Hoping to build an audition book of new songs and monologues? Have an audition coming up and want to work through materials in advance? We can do it all!
In these sessions, we will focus on your strengths and authenticity - what makes you you! I believe your authentic self is the best tool to build your theatrical self and we will work together to uplift your unique voice through acting, singing, or both!
Lessons open to all but mostly designed for students ages 8-18.
