About Olly

Hi guys hope you are all well! Just a brief bit about me, my mum is a language teacher (French and Spanish) and exposed me to the French culture from a young age. I started learning French and school and went on to do it for my A-Levels which I completed last June, which I got an “A” in (I also studied Spanish for my A-levels and also got an “A”) After this, I moved to France to study in a French university for half a year where I made a French friend group and improved my French drastically, so now I’m in a position where I am touching the c1 level. I moved back to England at Christmas and will be studying French and business at a Russell Group university next September. All of this has exposed me to many different ways of learning French, the good and the bad, so I believe I can show techniques to learn the language and teach aspects such as grammar well, as I’ve been through the process already as a non native French speaker.

About the lesson

Just a bit about how I plan to teach the language. Due to my language learning journey I have been exposed to many different ways to learn languages (French and Spanish) , the good and the bad, so I believe I can use my experiences to explain aspects such as grammar as simply as possible. I would look at teaching the key skills a language , such as reading, writing, listening, speaking and grammar. I know what you’re thinking, “No not grammar!” don’t worry. As a non native french speaker I know exactly what it feels like to learn a language and the stress of grammar. I can teach grammar in simple ways which you WILL understand.
