About Bailey
Hello! My name is Bailey, and I am an Ontario Certified Teacher (OCT) passionate about helping elementary students build the skills, confidence, and love of learning they need to succeed.
I hold a Bachelor of Education from the University of Ottawa and an undergraduate degree from the University of Waterloo. I work with students from Kindergarten to Grade 6, providing personalized support in mathematics, literacy, reading, writing, and foundational learning skills.
I have experience supporting students with Individual Education Plans (IEPs) and learners with a variety of strengths, needs, and learning profiles. I understand that every child learns differently, and I believe that meaningful learning begins with understanding each student as an individual.

My approach is personalized, engaging, and collaborative. I meet students where they are in their learning journey, identify their strengths and areas for growth, and develop lessons that build on what they already know.
In literacy, I support the development of foundational skills, including phonemic awareness, phonics, early reading, reading fluency, comprehension, and writing. In mathematics, I help students strengthen foundational concepts, develop problem-solving skills, and build a deeper understanding of mathematical ideas.
I also support the development of important learning skills, such as organization, independence, persistence, and confidence when approaching challenging tasks.
Whether your child is working to strengthen foundational skills, needs additional practice with classroom concepts, or would benefit from more individualized attention, I aim to create a supportive environment where they feel comfortable asking questions, taking risks, and learning from mistakes.
I believe that students thrive when learning is meaningful, engaging, and responsive to their individual needs. My goal is to help each student recognize their progress, celebrate their growth, and develop the confidence to approach new challenges with a positive mindset.
