About Kelly

I am a certified intermediate and senior teacher with 8 years of teaching experience. I have taught all grades and levels of English and history. I have specializations in Special Education, which allows me the knowledge and undestanding to help your child thrive with exceptionalities and gifts. In addition to traditional in class education, I have also travelled abroad teaching courses remotely, including a Senior History course in France and Senior English in Rome and Greece. My experience has made me truly understand that learning is an experience and that each student is unique. It is my goal to provide exceptional learning to all students and incorporate all that I have learned in my own journey.
I also have training in mindset and success coaching and I help students recognize their true inner strength and skills and help them build the confidence to stand up and thrive.

About the lesson

My teaching method is to help students break down information into achievable chunks. I provide tools to help students relate to the information and actualy internalize it, so they are not only memorizing, but learning skills.
What makes me special as it teacher is my ability to help build confidence as well as retain information. You will excel in your grades and mindset. I share remarkable test taking strategies that have helped others raise 1-2 levels in their grades.
A typical class consists of us discussing the period of time since we have last met, exploring how the student has coped with the new information given to them. We will then dive into the work as I ask powerful questions to help the student come to their own conclusions and build confidence in their knowledge. I will provide feedback on work that has been done, editing, and suggestions. We will finish with a strong action plan for the coming week.
