About Brandon
I have been teaching History at the High School level for 4 years at a school that focuses on the individual learning needs of students. My Bachelor of History Arts Honours from Brock University, and my Teaching Certificate from University of Toronto's OISE have prepared me for teaching the historical thinking skills of Establishing Historical Significance, Analysing Cause and Consequence, Identifying Continuity and Change, and Taking Historical Perspective. Every student that I teach develops a love for history, because I make history come alive.

My philosophy is to meet students where they are at. It isn't about how smart they are, but how they are smart. I start with diagnostics to determine a students abilities, strengths and areas for improvement, then build on skills, thinking strategies, and questioning. From there I scaffold knowledge and understanding, building with each lesson. More importantly than that, I make history exciting and fun through story telling and role play. Every lesson in history can be made into a story or game that brings the past to life.
