About Alex
I am a hugely experienced Maths graduate with an extensive track record of success as a teacher and tutor. I love the subject and have been tutoring since I was 16 years old. I would be surprised if there was another tutor in the country who combines academic excellence, professional success as a leader in a top school, deep knowledge of teaching & learning, assessment and curriculum and domain-specific knowledge of online tuition pedagogy in the way that I do!

I offer online sessions which are coherently and systematically planned, effectively delivered and rigorously assessed. In order to achieve this, I use a combination of Google Classroom, Whiteboard Fox (an interactive whiteboard) and Skype or Zoom. Sessions are typically one hour long, but homework is always set and marked for the next session. I constantly assess understanding and use a series of unit tests to monitor this more formally. Finally, I have a proven system of working through past papers in preparation for examinations.
