About Minoo

Hi there!
I found my passion for tutoring when I started a math club back home as a part-time extracurricular, providing free tutoring to students who needed help but couldn’t afford it. Even though I’ve had other part-time jobs, tutoring has always been the favorite part of my days. It wasn’t until my grades reflected how much I loved math that I truly realized my passion for helping others with this subject. Now, as a peer tutor for immigrant students in my math class, I continue to share that love for teaching and guiding others through challenging concepts. I believe everyone deserves the chance to thrive academically, regardless of their background, and I’m committed to making complex topics more accessible. Whether you’re working through difficult concepts or preparing for exams, I’m here to guide you and make learning enjoyable. My goal is to build a career around tutoring, helping students grow in confidence and knowledge.

About the lesson

As a student, I spent a lot of time self-learning different subjects before they came up in school, and I began to realize better methods to teach myself math. And I hope to teach other students who may need to learn a subject from a different aspect.
I prioritize my students' needs by finding out what kind of learners they are by realizing if they understand something better if it's written down or if they hear it and review it several times and find other strategies that work best for them.

For example, at the beginning of class, I would like to know why they felt that they need a tutor and what their passion for learning and id like to make a road map of what we are going to learn and discuss in our course so that we don't miss anything in our journey. I'd stay in touch with my students to help them with any further questions and problems. Fell free to ask me anything i'd appreciate it!=)
