About James
My approach is student centered. This means my instruction would be catered to the students needs and expectations. As an instructor, I design lessons and activities which help student be engaged with the subject helping them to gain the proficiency and experience.
I am happy to use a book of the student's choosing so long as it is an appropriate text.

As a Certified English Language Teacher for Adults(CELTA) I use the communicative model re. instruction. The certificate is backed by +10 years of teaching experience. Experience Teaching English as a Foreign Language at SCH University in South Korea, then continued EAP instruction in Halifax at ECLC. I prepared students for university studies which partly involved language instruction, academic writing, critical analysis, etc.
As an IT professional I have experience with database development for industries such as Grocery, Dairy, and Educational. I have prepared tutorials on MS Office Applications, and have broad tutoring experience as the lone IT person at a shop of over 30 staff with upwards of 200 students.
I love instruction, and I love helping my students reach their goals.
