About Jez

I graduated from Kingston College in 2016 with a 1st Class Honours BA(hons) in Acting For Stage and Media. Since then I have worked as a professional actor. I have done a number of professional jobs ranging from theatre shows at the National, Tv commercials, short films and many more. Furthermore, I have directed a number of shows and have developed my own theatre company. I have taken shows to IYAF, Edinburgh and Brighton Fridge. The company was awarded B Fest award for our play ‘Love 2 Bits’ .

When I am not booking acting gigs. I can be found being a children entertainer at the weekends, what I have been doing for the past 6 years. Furthermore, I teach science to primary school age children. This has given me plenty of experience with a wide range of ages and abilities. I also hold an enhanced DBS.

About the lesson

I offer a supportive network and service to help each individual actors/performers to be able to be their best self.

Being a dyslexic actor, I know the the simple struggles such speaking in front of a group of people can feel daunting. I hope that I can guide my students to gain confidence in themselves and their abilities .

My approach to working with Actress/Actor to make sure they have fun and are able to create reality and truth as well as spontaneity in performance for stage or film.

I would start by assessing you in the first session based on a monologue.

I train/teach performers for what ever they need for example;

Monologue for Drama school
A scene for to TV/Film/Theatre role.
Basic public speaking
Confidence in there voice
Confidence in there body
AUDITION ! Technique (Theatre/Film/Tv)
Improvisation work
(Bench game, hot seating, what are you doing etc)
Movement for Actors
(Laban elements)
Industry study (How to approach agents and Casting directors)
Script breakdown
Commercial casting workshop.
Neurodiverse acting tips.
Working with Shakespeare.
(Breaking down the text, picking the right speech, learning the lines, getting it too its feet)
Self Tape Technique

For Younger Students I offer LAMDA tuition if you are looking to take on your Lama exams.

LAMDA EXAMS.
- Advice on which exams will be of greatest benefit to the individual aims of the student.
- Regular lessons guiding the pupil through the process of preparation, rehearsal and performance.
- Supporting materials where appropriate.
- An in-depth and practical understanding of the 'knowledge' element of examining.
- Sight-reading technique.
- A flexible schedule to accommodate pupils other commitments.

I believe that you can never stop learning as a person at any age. That’s why I like to take on students of any age and any ability.

I believe that training of an Actor is just like the training of athlete, dancer or pianist-they all have to practice their unique disciplines. To able to use the key skills in multiple facets of their life.
