About Jack

I’m a Mechanical Engineering graduate and currently work as a Solutions / Software Architect, where problem-solving and clear communication are essential. My technical background gives me a strong foundation in maths, and I’m passionate about helping students achieve their goals. I first started tutoring when I helped my younger brother turn his maths grades around — he went from nearly dropping the subject to earning a strong B in just 10 weeks. I’ve also helped other friends, family, and adult learners pass important exams. I’m organised, approachable, and committed to making every lesson productive and confidence-boosting, whether you’re preparing for exams, catching up on tricky topics, or building a solid maths foundation.

About the lesson

I offer 60-minute maths lessons tailored to each student’s needs, with a focus on building confidence and understanding. My approach is friendly and encouraging, breaking topics down step-by-step so students feel supported rather than overwhelmed. I specialise in GCSE Maths (Higher and Foundation), but I’m happy to teach younger learners or adults who want to strengthen their skills. Lessons are available online UK-wide. With experience helping students achieve big improvements quickly, I aim to make maths less stressful and more rewarding for every learner.

Availability:

Lesson format:
• Online via Google Meet with interactive whiteboard tools.
• Structured sessions, but flexible enough to revisit areas where you’re struggling.
• First lesson used to understand your current level, challenges, and goals.

Rates & Policy:
• £45 per hour.
• Payment required in advance to confirm bookings.
• 24h cancellation policy (less than 24h notice will be charged at the full rate).
