Hello! My name is Sarah, and I am a passionate Ontario elementary school teacher who loves helping students grow in confidence and reach their full potential. I believe that every child can succeed when they are provided with the right support, encouragement, and learning opportunities.

As a certified teacher with hands-on classroom experience, I understand the importance of adapting lessons to each student's individual needs, learning pace, and strengths. I strive to make learning fun, engaging, and rewarding through personalized activities, clear explanations, and positive encouragement. Whether your child needs extra support with reading, phonics, spelling, writing, or mathematics, or simply wants to strengthen their skills, I am here to help!

My tutoring approach is patient, supportive, and personalized to each student's individual learning needs. As an Ontario elementary teacher, I understand that every child learns differently, and I strive to create a positive learning environment where students feel comfortable asking questions, making mistakes, and building confidence in their abilities.

My Teaching Methodology and Techniques
I use engaging, hands-on, and curriculum-based strategies to make learning meaningful and accessible. My approach includes breaking concepts into manageable steps, modeling examples, using visual aids and learning activities, and providing guided practice before encouraging students to work independently. I adapt my teaching methods to suit each student's strengths, interests, and learning style, with a focus on building strong foundational skills and a genuine understanding of concepts.

A Typical Lesson
Each lesson begins with a brief review of previous learning and an opportunity to identify the student's needs or areas of difficulty. We then focus on a specific learning goal through clear explanations, examples, and interactive activities. Students practice new skills with my guidance before completing activities independently to demonstrate their understanding. I finish each session by reviewing progress, celebrating successes, and identifying next steps for continued growth.

What Sets Me Apart
As a practicing elementary teacher in Ontario, I bring current classroom experience and knowledge of the Ontario curriculum to my tutoring sessions. I understand the importance of adapting instruction, providing encouragement, and meeting students where they are academically. Who My Lessons Are For
I offer tutoring for elementary students in Grades 1–6 who would benefit from additional support, skill reinforcement, or enrichment in reading, phonics, spelling, writing, and mathematics. Whether a student is developing foundational literacy skills, strengthening reading comprehension, improving written expression, practicing math concepts, or looking for an extra academic challenge, lessons are tailored to their individual goals and grade level. I welcome learners with different strengths, abilities, and learning needs, and I aim to make every session encouraging, engaging, and rewarding.
