About Lubna
I am an Ontario Certified Teacher with over 10 years of experience teaching children from Kindergarten to Grade 6. Throughout my teaching career, I have worked with students with a wide range of strengths, learning styles, abilities, and academic needs.
I am passionate about helping children feel successful and confident in their learning. I understand that students do their best when they feel supported, encouraged, and comfortable making mistakes and asking questions. I take the time to build positive relationships with my students and create a learning environment where they feel heard, respected, and motivated to grow.
My classroom experience has given me a strong understanding of the Ontario curriculum, grade-level expectations, assessment practices, and the foundational skills students need to be successful as they progress through elementary school.
As a tutor, I bring the same patience, care, professionalism, and individualized attention that I bring to my classroom. Whether a student is struggling with a particular concept, needs additional practice, or would benefit from an extra challenge, my goal is to meet them where they are and help them move forward with confidence.

I believe every child learns differently, so I tailor each lesson to the individual needs, learning style, and goals of the student. My goal is to create a positive and encouraging learning environment where students feel comfortable asking questions, building their skills, and developing confidence in their abilities.
I begin by getting to know each student and identifying their strengths as well as the areas where they may need additional support. From there, I create personalized lessons that can include direct instruction, guided practice, hands-on activities, games, and other engaging learning strategies appropriate for the student's age and learning needs.
As an experienced elementary school teacher, I am familiar with the Ontario curriculum and understand the skills and expectations students work toward at each grade level. I can support students with Math and Language from Kindergarten to Grade 6, whether they need help strengthening foundational skills, keeping up with classroom learning, completing schoolwork, or extending their learning beyond the classroom.
Most importantly, I strive to make learning approachable and encouraging. I want students to leave each session not only with a stronger understanding of the material, but also feeling more confident and capable as learners.

Details
My hourly rate includes personalized lesson preparation and all learning materials needed for each session. Activities and resources are selected or prepared based on each student's individual learning needs, goals, and grade level.
In-home tutoring is available with an additional $10 travel fee. There are no additional fees for learning materials or resources.
