About Robert
Hello! I’m Robert, an Ontario Certified Teacher and current elementary classroom teacher with 12 years of teaching experience. I hold an Honors Bachelor of Arts from the University of Toronto and a Bachelor of Education from the University of Windsor.
I enjoy helping children become more confident readers and discover the enjoyment in stories. Through my classroom and resource-teaching experience, I’ve supported students with different learning needs, strengths, and starting points.
My approach is patient, encouraging, and practical. I give students time to think, explain ideas clearly, and create a welcoming space where they can ask questions and make mistakes as they learn. I work with parents to establish meaningful goals and keep them informed about their child’s progress.

I offer personalized online reading and comprehension support for students in Grades 1-8. Whether your child struggles with reading words accurately, understanding what they read, or feeling confident, I tailor lessons to their needs using engaging, age-appropriate texts.
We begin with an instructional reading assessment to identify strengths and areas for support. Parents receive a brief written summary and recommended learning goals.
A typical lesson includes a short skill review, focused instruction, guided reading, and discussion. Students practice strategies such as breaking down unfamiliar words, using vocabulary clues, summarizing, making inferences, and supporting answers with evidence. Older students also work on understanding more complex texts and organizing written responses.
As an Ontario Certified Teacher with 12 years of teaching experience, I bring classroom knowledge, patience, and clear explanations to each session. I provide supportive feedback and brief parent updates so families understand what we are working on and how to reinforce it at home.
