About Barbara
I have just retired from 8 years of supply teaching, followed by 23 years of full-time teaching mostly in the Primary/Junior ranks. I’m eager to continue my teaching career as a private tutor. My greatest strengths are in the Literacy areas of Reading, Writing, Grammar, and Oral Communication. Libraries are my chosen places to conduct classes. I’m very eager to build a clientele of students who need a little extra help.

Due to my many years of teaching, with particularly strong language & science skills, I am well qualified and eager to continue to teach. From early phonics skills to creative writing, stressing the correct spelling & grammatical usage, I have the background to help create, edit, illustrate, and publish very literally correct pieces of writing.
