I have tutored ESL students online, for three and a half years, with great success. My method is individualized. I can help students with reading, writing, speaking and accent. I have training in speech therapy and auditory discrimination. For speaking, I use many different conversation questions to create a conversation with the student. I listen carefully and, when the student is finished speaking, we correct the mistakes. We work on correct accent, pronunciation, grammar and sentence structure. For writing, I help students edit their writing. I am a reading specialist so I can help students with their reading. I tutor ESL students from the ages 5 to 70. I am kind, patient and skilled at being able to tell students how to say the words correctly.
I am an Ontario certified teacher, with over 25 years teaching experience in the classroom and tutoring private students. I also have 4 years teaching ESL online. I am patient, kind and encouraging because I know how difficult it is to learn a foreign language.
