About Ravina

Hello! My name is Ravina, and I am an Ontario Certified Teacher, TEFL-certified educator, and Registered Early Childhood Educator with over 10 years of experience working with children in educational settings.

Throughout my career, I have supported students from diverse backgrounds and learning needs, helping them develop confidence, independence, and a love of learning. My experience includes working in kindergarten, elementary classrooms, and literacy-focused learning environments, where I have helped students strengthen their reading, writing, speaking, and communication skills.

I am passionate about creating a positive and supportive learning environment where students feel comfortable asking questions, taking risks, and celebrating their progress. I understand that every child learns differently, which is why I tailor my lessons to meet each student's individual needs, interests, and learning goals.

Whether your child is an English Language Learner, needs additional support with literacy skills, or would benefit from extra academic guidance, I am committed to helping them build both the skills and confidence they need to succeed.

About the lesson

As an Ontario Certified Teacher, TEFL-certified educator, and Registered Early Childhood Educator with over 10 years of experience, I believe that every child learns best when they feel supported, confident, and engaged. My tutoring sessions are personalized to meet each student's unique learning needs, strengths, and goals.

I specialize in supporting English Language Learners (ELLs) and elementary students (Kindergarten to Grade 6) in developing their reading, writing, vocabulary, speaking, and comprehension skills. I use a combination of explicit instruction, guided practice, interactive activities, and positive encouragement to help students build both skills and confidence.

A typical lesson begins with a brief review of previously learned concepts, followed by targeted instruction based on the student's needs. Lessons may include reading activities, vocabulary development, speaking practice, writing exercises, phonics instruction, or homework support. I regularly monitor progress and adjust lessons to ensure students continue to grow and succeed.

What sets me apart is my combination of classroom teaching experience, specialized training in English language instruction, and deep understanding of child development. Having worked with diverse learners in schools and educational settings, I know how to create a welcoming and supportive environment where students feel comfortable taking risks and developing their skills.
