About Joan
Have educated hundreds of harp students over 15 years. Every student is different in their background, aspiration, career goals, and reason for learning to play the harp. They are also different in their learning curve -- some catching on very quickly while others need more time in the beginning. With practice, anyone can do it. Even if they don't become professional harpists (very few do anyway), they all have an enjoyable time coming to make and appreciate music on one of the most enchanting instruments. Some even say they sleep better after harp practice.

Both online and face-to-face lessons are welcome. Emphasis on musicality, interpretation, and techniques. Lessons tailored to the needs, pace, and aptitude of individual students, from age 5 to age 60. Priority is on student enjoyment of each lesson and steady and continuous progress to make the learning efforts worthwhile.
