About Katie

I have a Masters Degree from the University of Oxford in Biology (MBiol). I have been a professional tutor for 5 years and enjoy teaching a wide range of subjects and abilities across ages 12-18. I have had great success building a friendly rapport with students and have helped past students move up multiple grades for their exams.

I will tailor sessions to fit my students and their ensure they are getting the most out of our sessions whether they are aiming to improve general subject knowledge or perfect exam technique to ensure they achieve those top A*/9 grades.

About the lesson

I offer both general and Oxbridge specific personal statement advice, interview practice, in particular for Oxford Biology interviews, having attended Oxbridge admissions company interview courses and having personally experienced 3 in-person Oxford interviews. I was also an interview assistant at Somerville College for the 2021 round of interviews, so have extensive experience of the process. The personal statement and interview process can be daunting and unfamiliar to the majority of students so I aim to speak to the students at their level, making the experience more transparent, whilst offering valuable advice on structure and content for both the personal statements and interviews.
