About Anna

Oxford Physics undergraduate with experience over 3 years in tutoring Mathematics and Physics for students taking GCSEs, iGCSEs, A-Levels, or applying to UK universities including Oxbridge (e.g., Oxford's PAT exam, interview practice). Outside of tutoring, I have held numerous voluntary positions in science communication: demystifying Oxford for classes of secondary school pupils as an Outreach Ambassador for my college, helping the general public of all ages and levels of scientific literacy to learn from and enjoy the exhibits as a regular volunteer at three different scientific museums, and working with children/vulnerable adults as a trained Peer Supporter and First Aider.

About the lesson

Content and approach tailored to the individual student. I focus on clearing up concepts that challenge/interest the student, then ask the student to talk me through targeted exam questions so I can give tailored advice on their exam technique/problem solving. I work time into each lesson for the student to bring up any miscellaneous questions which they struggled with since our last lesson. Availability: - Monday-Saturday 7:30pm onwards - Sundays - Lessons can start at approx. 1 week notice  Administrative Details: - I use MS Teams and a (free) online whiteboard software called Jamboard. Alternatives possible if desired. - I send invoices for tax/record-keeping purposes, so do please provide the appropriate name and contact details for me to address these to. - Verification of my Clear Enhanced DBS Certificate (June 2022) available upon request. Cancellations/rescheduling with 24hrs+ notice are not charged, neither is the first instance with less than 24hrs notice. Subsequent cancellations/rescheduling with less than 24hrs notice will incur 50% of the lesson cost.
