About Phoebe
You're not just learning from a tutor — you're learning from someone who's lived the fashion journey from sketchbook to runway. I hold a BFA from Otis College of Art and Design and an MFA from Parsons School of Design, two of the most prestigious fashion schools in the world. My work has been trusted by top brands like Fendi, Revolve, Theory, and Rhude, and my digital illustration tools have reached over 1,200+ creatives through my Etsy Star Seller shop. I teach with passion, precision, and real-world insight, because I know what it’s like to start from zero — confused, overwhelmed, and unsure how to stand out. My mission is to guide you through that journey with structure, clarity, and creative energy. Whether you're building a portfolio, applying to design school, or dreaming of launching your own label — I’m here to help you make it real. Let’s turn your ideas into something unforgettable.

As a tutor, I focus on building both technical skills and creative confidence. I believe in meeting each student where they are — whether you're a complete beginner or preparing a portfolio for top fashion schools. My method combines structured instruction with personalized guidance, giving students the tools to develop their own design voice. Teaching Method & Techniques I teach through a mix of demonstration, guided sketching, visual references, and real industry examples. I break down complex concepts like figure proportions, garment construction, and color theory into easy-to-understand steps. I also provide constructive feedback and mindset coaching to help students stay confident and inspired. A Typical Lesson Each lesson is customized, but generally includes: Warm-up sketching or proportion practice A focus topic (e.g., fabric rendering, moodboarding, collection development) Design challenge or mini project Review and feedback session Optional homework to keep building between lessons We can also spend sessions reviewing and refining portfolio work, practicing entrance interviews, or developing tech packs if needed. What Sets Me Apart I hold a BFA from Otis and an MFA from Parsons, two of the top design schools in the U.S. I’ve worked with fashion brands like Fendi, Revolve, Theory, and Rhude, so I bring real-world industry experience to every lesson. I’m an Etsy Star Seller with over 1,200+ sales, and I’ve helped many creatives turn their ideas into income. I’ve personally built a career from scratch and understand the challenges new designers face — I teach with empathy, structure, and creative energy. Who These Lessons Are For Students applying to fashion programs (Otis, Parsons, SCAD, FIT, etc.) Beginners who want to learn how to sketch, design, or build a portfolio College students who want 1-on-1 support or industry insight Creative professionals transitioning into fashion Anyone passionate about fashion who wants structured, supportive guidance

My hourly rate reflects not just my time, but the hands-on value I bring to each session. I provide professional teaching materials such as markers, watercolors, and sketching tools, and I also bring a laptop and iPad to share visual references, demos, and feedback in real time — making each lesson more interactive and engaging. I encourage students to bring their favorite materials and to share what they’d like to focus on in advance. This allows me to tailor the session and come fully prepared to support your goals — whether you're working on figure drawing, portfolio development, or creative concepting. Every lesson is personalized and built to make the most of our time together.
