About Jacob
I'm a recent master's graduate in experimental particle physics. I was part of an international experiment called the Enriched Xenon Observatory as a graduate student. My focus has since shifted into mathematics with applications to artificial intelligence and pattern recognition.

I like detail and rigour. I'm not just going to teach you a recipe for solving a problem. I want you to understand what you're doing. I will do my best to answer your questions. Don't hesitate to ask a question because you're afraid to sound stupid. I was in graduate school with people who were obsessed with looking smart, so they never asked questions and I can tell you that they learned much less than the people who weren't afraid to look stupid.
Usually I'll ask you to send me the material that you want to cover so I can properly prepare for a session. So if you have an assignment or particular textbook problems that you're struggling with just take a picture and send it to me. I'll solve the problems beforehand and think of how to explain my approach to each.
