About Talia

Hello there! I’m Mrs. Osborne, a passionate and faith-driven 2nd grade teacher who believes every child is uniquely designed by God with the ability to learn and grow. With over 8 years of teaching experience, I specialize in helping young learners build a strong foundation in reading, phonics, writing, and confidence. I use the Fundations Reading Program along with multisensory techniques — sight, sound, movement, and even music — to make learning engaging and unforgettable! I’ve been rated a Highly Effective Teacher, known for turning struggling learners into confident readers and writers. My teaching style blends structure, creativity, and encouragement, making each lesson fun, interactive, and full of progress. Whether your child needs one-on-one support in phonics, reading fluency, math, or confidence in learning — I meet them where they are and help them soar.

About the lesson

Every child learns differently, and my lessons are designed to meet each student exactly where they are. My teaching style is interactive, hands-on, and filled with encouragement. I engage multiple senses—sight, sound, and movement—to make learning active and memorable. Learning should never feel boring or intimidating. That’s why I incorporate music, rhythm, visuals, and motion to help students understand and retain new concepts. I also include plenty of positive reinforcement to build confidence and excitement about learning. Each lesson begins with a short warm-up or review, followed by engaging instruction, guided practice, and reflection time to celebrate progress. Lessons are always tailored to each student’s learning style, pace, and personality. For reading and phonics, I use proven, structured literacy methods such as the Fundations Reading Program to strengthen decoding, fluency, and comprehension skills. For math, I emphasize understanding over memorization, helping students develop critical thinking and problem-solving abilities. My goal is to create a joyful, safe, and supportive learning space where students feel seen, capable, and confident. When children feel secure and encouraged, they are more willing to take risks, grow, and truly enjoy learning.
