About Sierra
My journey with guitar started through a fascination with how music can communicate emotions without words. This passion led me to complete a Bachelor’s Degree in Music before earning a Master’s Degree in Contemporary Guitar Studies. During my 11 years of teaching, I have worked with students at many different stages of their musical development.
I believe that effective teaching combines patience, structure, and encouragement. Every learner progresses differently, so I adapt my methods to support individual strengths and challenges. I enjoy helping students transform uncertainty into confidence through clear explanations and achievable goals.
Beyond teaching, I spend time studying different musical traditions, arranging pieces, and expanding my performance repertoire. These experiences continually bring fresh ideas into my lessons. Watching students grow into confident and expressive musicians remains one of the most rewarding parts of my career.

My guitar lessons are built around steady progress, practical learning, and enjoyable musical experiences. Students learn essential skills such as rhythm control, chord fluency, strumming patterns, fingerstyle techniques, ear training, and fretboard navigation through structured guidance. I focus on helping learners understand music rather than simply memorize exercises.
As students advance, lessons include improvisation, musical phrasing, lead guitar techniques, dynamics, expression, and performance preparation. Every lesson is personalized to support individual interests and goals. Whether a student enjoys acoustic playing, modern styles, or technical development, I provide clear direction and encouraging feedback.
I aim to create lessons that inspire confidence and long-term growth. Students are encouraged to experiment, ask questions, and develop their own musical identity. My goal is to help learners become capable guitarists who enjoy both the process of learning and the satisfaction of continuous improvement.
