About Lina
I’m someone who brings energy, curiosity, and real-life perspective to learning. Having gone through the highs and lows of academic life myself, I understand how important it is to feel supported—not just taught. I genuinely enjoy helping students discover what they’re capable of, especially when they might not see it yet themselves. Outside of tutoring, I’m all about engaging my brain in different ways: I love the logic and patience it takes to solve a Rubik’s Cube, the strategy of basketball, the excitement of debate, and the challenge of learning new skills like coding. I believe that all of these hobbies help me connect with students in unique ways and bring creativity and problem-solving into each session.

As someone who was once predicted 4s and 5s in GCSEs but worked my way up to achieve 8s and 9s—becoming one of the top 5% high achievers in my school—I understand the power of determination and the right support. I now bring that same energy, resilience, and belief into every tutoring session I deliver. I teach Chemistry, Maths, and Arabic with a personal, relatable approach, making sure my students not only understand the content but build confidence in themselves too. I use techniques that helped me improve—step-by-step breakdowns, active recall, and real-life applications. I also inject positive energy and encouragement to keep things motivating. Lessons are usually 60 minutes and tailored for students from KS3 up to GCSE level. I’ve spoken at school events as a public speaker and mentor, and I love helping others turn things around just like I did!
