About Tasya

Hi! My name is Tasya, but everyone calls me Tas!

I completed my Bachelor of Arts and Science at the University of Guelph in August 2022, followed by my Bachelor of Education at Nipissing University in May 2026.

Outside of teaching, I enjoy reading, painting, camping, and traveling. I love exploring new things, and I bring that same curiosity and enthusiasm into my teaching!

I look forward to getting to know you, discovering your unique strengths and abilities, and creating an individualized learning plan that meets your needs. My goal is to provide a supportive and engaging learning environment where you can build confidence, develop your skills, and reach your full potential. I can’t wait to be part of your learning journey!

About the lesson

My lessons are designed for elementary-aged students who want to strengthen their mathematics and literacy skills. I begin each lesson with an engaging, interactive activity to spark curiosity and activate prior knowledge. I then introduce new concepts using the Gradual Release of Responsibility model (“I do, we do, you do”), providing students with explicit instruction, guided practice, and opportunities to work independently. Throughout each lesson, I assess students’ understanding and progress through a variety of methods, including assignments, quizzes, and fun educational games. My goal is to create a supportive and engaging learning environment where every student can build confidence, develop essential skills, and achieve their learning goals.
