About Shameen

Hello! My name is Shameen, and I am a Health Sciences graduate with extensive experience tutoring high school and university students in STEM and Religion/Philosophy. I have also worked in clinical research, healthcare, and education, which allows me to connect academic concepts with real-world applications. I know that every student learns differently. My goal is to make each lesson clear, engaging, and tailored to your needs so you can build both knowledge and confidence. I focus on breaking down complex topics into simple steps, using real-life examples, practice problems, and study strategies that help information stick. What sets me apart is not only my academic background but also my patience, empathy, and dedication. Having worked closely with students from different backgrounds and learning levels, I understand the importance of creating a supportive environment where questions are always welcome. Whether you’re preparing for exams, improving grades, or simply looking to deepen your understanding, I am here to guide you. Together, we’ll work toward your goals and make learning a positive and empowering experience.

About the lesson

My Approach as a Tutor Teaching Methodology & Techniques I believe every student learns differently, so my approach focuses on adapting lessons to individual needs. I break down complex concepts into simple, relatable explanations, often using real-world examples and visual aids. I encourage active learning through discussion, problem-solving, and practice questions, making sure students not only memorize but also understand the “why” behind the material. A Typical Lesson Plan Warm-up / Recap (5–10 minutes): Reviewing previous material and addressing any difficulties. Core Lesson (30–40 minutes): Introducing new topics with explanations, step-by-step guidance, and interactive examples. Practice & Application (15–20 minutes): Working through exercises, case studies, or exam-style questions. Wrap-up (5–10 minutes): Summarizing key takeaways, clarifying doubts, and assigning light practice for retention. What Sets Me Apart I have a strong background in Health Sciences and experience tutoring both high school and university students. I integrate knowledge from my work in clinical research, public health, and philosophy, giving students a well-rounded perspective. My teaching is not just academic — I also focus on study strategies, time management, and confidence-building, helping students succeed beyond the classroom. Having personally navigated challenging academic and personal experiences, I bring empathy, patience, and motivation to my lessons. Who My Lessons Are For High school students (Sciences, Math, Religion/Philosophy, exam prep). University students (Health Sciences, Biology, Research Methods, Public Health courses). Adult learners seeking to strengthen their foundation in science, healthcare, or philosophy.
