About Maddy

Hi, I’m Maddy! I am an experienced violinist and dedicated music tutor with a strong passion for teaching and helping students grow in confidence and ability. I began learning violin at the age of 5 and have performed extensively through orchestras, quartets, choirs and solo performances. I completed HSC Music 2 and Music Extension with an Encore nomination for violin and am currently working towards my AMusA Diploma.

Alongside my musical training, I have extensive experience working with students of different ages and skill levels. I strive to create a positive, patient and encouraging learning environment where students feel motivated to enjoy music and achieve their personal goals.

About the lesson

I am a passionate and supportive violin teacher who tailors lessons to each student’s age, level and goals. My lessons focus on building strong technique, confidence and musicality in a fun and encouraging environment. I teach beginner to intermediate students of all ages, with lessons typically ranging from 30 minutes to 1 hour.

I began learning violin at age 5 and have received multiple eisteddfod awards, achieved an A for my CMus in 2019, and am currently working towards my AMusA Diploma. I completed HSC Music 2 and Extension with an Encore nomination for violin and have extensive ensemble and leadership experience through orchestras, quartets and choirs. I also hold an AMus (Teaching) Diploma in Speech and Drama and have experience teaching students of different ages and skill levels.

Lessons are available from my home studio in Croydon or at students’ homes nearby.
