Hello! I'm Rems Jane Villarias, a Bachelor of Science in Accountancy student at PHINMA – Cagayan de Oro College. With a strong foundation in mathematics, I am passionate about helping students build confidence and improve their problem-solving skills. I am patient, reliable, and committed to creating a supportive learning environment where every student feels encouraged to succeed. I believe that every student can learn mathematics with the right guidance, patience, and encouragement. My goal as a tutor is not only to help students solve problems but also to help them understand the concepts behind them and build confidence in their abilities.
My teaching approach is student-centered and interactive. I explain lessons step by step, using simple language and practical examples that are easy to understand. I encourage students to ask questions, practice regularly, and learn at their own pace. I adapt each lesson to the student's learning style so they feel comfortable and supported throughout the learning process.
A typical lesson begins with a quick review of previous topics, followed by a clear explanation of new concepts. We then work through guided examples together before moving on to practice exercises. At the end of each session, I provide a short recap and answer any remaining questions to make sure the student fully understands the lesson.
As an Accountancy student, I have developed strong analytical and problem-solving skills through working with numbers and logical reasoning. I am patient, detail-oriented, and committed to creating a positive learning environment where students feel motivated to improve. While I am new to professional tutoring, I am eager to help students succeed and continuously improve my teaching skills.
My lessons are suitable for elementary students, junior and senior high school students, and first-year college students who need support in mathematics, whether they are strengthening their fundamentals, preparing for quizzes and exams, or simply building greater confidence in the subject.
