About Vicky

Hello! I’m Vicky, a native Korean speaker living in London. I previously taught English to primary, middle, and high school students in Korea, and with a TESOL certificate and a degree in English education, I’ve gained extensive experience in effective language teaching methods. Since moving to the UK, I’ve taken part in language exchanges with people from around the world, which has given me valuable insights into different learning styles and cultural perspectives. Recently, I’ve met many learners who want not only to study Korean but also to experience Korean culture firsthand, and I’ve truly enjoyed sharing expressions, food, and daily life insights with them. These experiences inspired me to teach both the language and the culture, helping students connect with Korean in a meaningful way. I design lessons for absolute beginners, conversation practice, and advanced grammar learners, tailoring each session to your goals and pace. My aim is to be a supportive guide, helping you achieve your language goals step by step. I believe that the most important aspects of learning a language are consistency and enjoyment, and I strive to make every lesson pleasant, engaging, and confidence-building. Outside teaching, I love exploring new cafés, experiencing different cultures, and meeting new people. About the lesson

My approach and methodology: I use a patient, step-by-step approach, tailoring lessons to each student’s pace and goals. Lessons are personalised and flexible, combining the Korean alphabet, pronunciation, grammar, conversation, and cultural insights. I emphasise practical usage, so you can speak Korean confidently in real-life situations. The goal is to make language learning enjoyable, thorough, and effective, rather than stressful. Typical lesson length: Usually 60 minutes per session, adjustable to your needs. Who the lessons are for: Beginners to advanced learners All ages — students, travellers, professionals, or anyone interested in Korean language and culture. If you enjoy careful, steady, and enjoyable practice, my lessons will help you improve your Korean skills steadily, gain confidence, and enjoy learning the language and culture.
