Personalized English tutoring for all ages with patient support and flexible learning strategies

Dominica makes personalized worksheets for both of my daughters. My girls are autistic and the youngest is also somewhat delayed, which can make learning a struggle. Dominica helps them see that learning can be fun but is also important and that getting everything right isn't the point, it's the effort and growth that's important. She works with my youngest to learn her letters and numbers. In the last few months she went from struggling to recognize any numbers or letter to knowing the symbols for 0 to 10 and 10/26 letters easily and ~10 more with a bit more struggle. She has also worked with helping both daughters with their pronunciation, making the oldest so much more clear to understand and taking the youngest from knowing about 50~ last year to being able to sometimes speak in complete sentences! For my oldest she has taken her from a starting 2nd grade at a 1st grade reading level to a 3rd grade before she even entered 3rd grade. She worked with her for Mathematics (everything from number order and fractions to Venn diagrams and probability), French (reading, written and spoken), English (reading to improving her clarity of writing, and grammar to concepts in reading like cause and effect, morals and predictions) , Science (learning to bake and measure, making of lip balm and bath bombs), Art (how to draw, using different paints and papers), Social Studies (Native American history and Canadian history), and even Physical Education (proper form, balancing, and soccer). I really appreciate that she takes the time to personalize the work. She reviews the material with the girls and makes more custom work based on where they are struggling or when introducing new things. It's really helped them both build their confidence and their love of learning, about themselves and the world around them.
