About Sebastian
I am a PhD candidate in the Philosophy of the Social Sciences, a field focused on the foundations, methods, and step-by-step functioning of social scientific scholarship. This expertise lends me a strong familiarity with many subjects in the social sciences and humanities, and how they are approached across multiple levels. Which I have used in my 10 years of experience teaching, tutoring, and leading workshops on the social sciences, philosophy, and the humanities.

I offer personalized tutoring in the social sciences, humanities, and philosophy, from high school to university undergraduate level. My approach combines clear explanations, thoughtful discussion, and a focus on critical thinking, with lessons adapted to each student’s needs, course, and level.
A typical lesson begins by identifying the key concepts or questions, followed by a clear explanation of the material, discussion and examples, and practical exercises to reinforce understanding. My focus is on teaching students how to navigate complex subjects, how ideas connect, how arguments work, and how to develop their own well-supported analyses.
What sets me apart is my emphasis on making complex ideas accessible without oversimplifying them. I aim to create a supportive environment where students can ask questions, challenge ideas, and build confidence in their ability to think and write critically.
My lessons are suited to high school students and university undergraduates studying subjects such as philosophy, sociology, political science, history, humanities, and related disciplines. I can also help with essay writing, exam preparation, reading comprehension, argumentation, and developing strong analytical skills.
