About Catherine
I can support Bachelor's and Master's students across Geography and Sustainability degrees, and have 6 years experience as a University lecturer and teaching assistant. My specialisms include environmental psychology, research methods (across quantitative, qualitative and mixed methods) and environmental social sciences. I can support your essay and dissertations across a range of sustainability and environmental topics! My PhD was exploring topics including climate change communication, environmental behaviour change, and nature-human interactions. My background includes sustainability consultancy, carbon management, sustainability in the media, and environmental management. Prior to that I completed my MSc Sustainability (Environmental Politics and Policy) and BSc Geography (hons).

I tailor support to each student; whether that's length/frequency of sessions and whether you want a session or two to support a specific task (essay/dissertation) or can support on a longer term basis. I vary my approach based on your needs, but enthusiasm and confidence are the main attributes I aim to instil. I am happy to read drafts and provide feedback, or find a balance of covering topics and supporting essay or dissertation writing within a session. Or mixing and matching depending on your needs! I specialise in research methods so happy to cover research methodologies, in addition to sustainability topics and general essay/dissertation support.
