About me
I am a Franco-Italian teacher and researcher with a PhD in Greek Civilization and several years of experience teaching in a school environment.
I currently teach French, Italian, French as a Foreign Language, Latin, and Ancient Greek to middle and high school students. I have also worked with learners from different linguistic and cultural backgrounds, including beginners, advanced students, and adults.
My international and multidisciplinary background allows me to teach languages not only through grammar, but also through literature, history, culture, and real communication. I believe that students learn best when they feel supported, intellectually stimulated, and confident enough to make mistakes.
Patient, attentive, and enthusiastic, I create a positive learning environment while maintaining clear objectives and high academic standards. Each lesson is personalized to help you make steady, measurable progress—and enjoy the process along the way.

My teaching philosophy is simple: languages are best learned when structure, culture, and real communication come together. My goal is not only to help students understand grammar or memorize vocabulary, but to give them the confidence and tools to use the language independently.
As a PhD-trained language and literature teacher with extensive experience in a school environment, I combine academic rigor with a practical and engaging approach. I currently teach French, Italian, Latin, and Ancient Greek, and I adapt my methodology to each student's age, level, learning style, and objectives.
My teaching method
I begin by identifying what the student already knows, where the difficulties are, and what they want to achieve. From there, I build a personalized learning path rather than following a one-size-fits-all program.
For modern languages such as French and Italian, I emphasize communication, pronunciation, vocabulary, grammar in context, and cultural understanding. Students are encouraged to speak from the very beginning and gradually develop greater accuracy and confidence.
For Latin and Ancient Greek, I combine a solid understanding of grammar and syntax with translation strategies, vocabulary building, etymology, mythology, history, and classical culture. My background allows me to go beyond mechanical translation and help students understand how these languages work and why they continue to shape modern languages and cultures.
What does a typical lesson look like?
A lesson usually begins with a short review or conversation to reactivate previous knowledge. We then focus on a specific objective through explanation, guided practice, authentic texts or materials, and increasingly independent application.
I pay particular attention to understanding mistakes rather than simply correcting them. When students understand why something is incorrect, they are much more likely to remember the correct form and become independent learners.
What sets me apart
My experience combines doctoral-level academic training with years of classroom teaching in an international school environment. I am therefore equally comfortable helping a student who is struggling with the fundamentals, challenging an advanced learner, or working with someone who wants to explore language, literature, and culture at a deeper level.
Teaching several languages also gives me a comparative perspective: I can help students recognize connections between French, Italian, Latin, Ancient Greek, and English, making grammar, vocabulary, and etymology more intuitive and memorable.
Above all, I want my students to leave each lesson feeling that something that previously seemed difficult has become clearer, more logical, and achievable.
Who are my lessons for?
My lessons are designed for elementary school, middle school and high school students, college students, and adult learners, from beginners to advanced students.
I can help with school support, language acquisition, conversation, grammar, writing, literature, translation, exam preparation, or simply learning a language for personal, academic, or professional reasons.
Whether you need to improve your grades, regain confidence, prepare for an exam, or discover a new language, lessons are adapted to your goals, your pace, and the way you learn best.
