About Andrew
Although I'm a final year PhD student in Material Science, my key interests have always been Physics and Maths! My project is very heavily Physics based, with elements of Chemistry.
I have now successfully taught students from a range of levels, from GCSE to undergraduate level and have enjoyed all of it!
Feedback from students/ parents/ senior tutors indicates that students identify with me quickly and find the way that I describe problems to be helpful and easily digestible.
I have also completed my child safeguarding course with Oxford council.

We'll start by going over the course syllabus and identifying areas that need more encouragement. Then we'll work our way through the topic until we're both happy with the level of understanding. I will then send over problems to attempt for the following lesson.
This methodology has been proven to work for previous students but am happy to modify any part of it to suit individual needs.
Typically lessons are taught one to one for an hour. Although I am happy to increase to 2 hour lessons closer to exam periods. I have experience in both online and in person tutoring.
I am a final year Material Science PhD student at The University of Oxford. My project is heavily Physics based and have taught in the undergraduate Physics labs at Oxford. I received my first class Masters in Physics from The University of Glasgow. During this time I also took a course in peer to peer teaching and taught in undergraduate Physics and Maths tutorials. I have experience privately teaching both GCSE and A level physics to students following the AQA and OCR courses.
