About Jolicia
My name is Jodi and I am 16 years old. I have had a love for learning ever since I was a toddler. I worked as a party host for kid parties last summer, and I love interacting with them and teaching. I attend a boarding school called Phillips Exeter, which has challenged me in many ways. My entire life I have been a straight-A student, but at my academy, I have truly explored the art of learning. Allowing yourself to make mistakes is a part of growing as a student. I will try to instill this in everyone I tutor because there must be a certain level of vulnerability to learn to the fullest extent.

- For math, I use an animated technique that simplifies formulas and theorems.
-After asking about what the student struggles with, I will give them a problem and try to let them solve it.
-I will ask about the student's thinking process behind their answer and then show a step-by-step process for solving the problem correctly and explain the reasoning behind it.
-Something I practice, that is not very common, is giving only word problems for math. Using word problems helps students problem-solve more effectively than simply solving equations. I practice this at the prestigious school, Phillips Exeter Academy.
-Lessons are for kids up until the 10th grade.
-For Writing each lesson is different based on what the kid needs to improve on.
