About Joe
I have been teaching Photoshop as well as Lightroom and Photography for nearly 15 years.
Up until March of 2020 I worked at the New England School of Photography where I taught students from ages 18-80 with varying experience levels every aspect of photoshop as it pertained to their work or assignments.

I firmly believe in covering the basics and explaining how things work. I can teach you all the coolest and fastest tricks, but if at the end of the day you don't understand why or how those cool tricks work you wont be able to modify them to suit your specific needs.
Perhaps my number one rule in photo editing, or photography in general for that matter, is there are no absolutes. If someone tells you "you should always do ____" they're wrong. There are always multiple ways of doing things and each have their advantages and disadvantages. For example while writing this sentence I thought of 7 ways to brighten a photo in Photoshop. If I were to dig through the program I could probably think of 10 more. Each do it a little differently and each are appropriate in different situations, usually I use a few of them together to get the look I'm going for.
My goal is to give you ALL the tools you need to take your art to the next level or for you to be able to get out there and start working comfortably in photoshop.

I first met Joe when I was taking photography classes at the New England School of Photography. I'll admit my technology skills are very limited but because of Joe I now edit all my own photos with confidence. He is very patient and though I would get hung up on small things sometimes he made me feel like I was never asking a dumb question. Very helpful and an all around great person! Worth every penny and more!
Joe is very patient! He creatively explains hard subjects so they feel more simple.
